SOD INSTALLATION
Get an “instant lawn”. Walk on it soon after planting. Dust, mud, and erosion are quickly reduced. It is basically weed free. You can plant it almost anytime during the year; even during the dormancy period-it will grow right in with Spring.
LAWN CARE
Our basic lawn package includes lawn mowing, trimming, walkway, driveway, and curb edging with a metal edger, weed killer in walkways, driveways, and curbside, and clean-up.
LAWN SEEDING
SEED vs SOD…love hate relationship. Seeding is cheaper, the turf develops in the exact environment in which it will live, and there is a larger selection of species available. Not all grass types are available in seed form.
MULCH INSTALLATION
Mulch in the spring…and it will look sharp when everyone else’s does. It also suppresses fall-germinating weeds. Mulch in the fall…it will help suppress spring sprouting weeds and protects plants better. All natural mulch (not rubber mulch) fades over time. Doesn’t matter when you do it…just do it.
HEDGE TRIMMING
Established hedges require trimming to keep them dense and compact. Formal hedges require more frequent trimming than informal hedges.
LAWN AERATION
Plug / Core aerators remove a core or plug of grass and soil from the lawn. Aeration involves perforating the soil with small holes to allow air, water and nutrients to penetrate the grass roots. This helps the roots grow deeply and produce a stronger, more vigorous lawn.
FERTILIZING
A lush lawn is the goal for many. Fertilizing at the right time with the right amount of water can help your lawn look its best.
LEAF REMOVAL
If you have heavy leaf coverage, we HIGHLY recommend leaf removal. Grass needs to “breathe”. Heavy leaves invite pests and diseases blocking water, nutrients, and healthy air flow. Mulch them? best to dethach yearly.
